NCA AWARDS
I was commissioned by Luke Halls Studio to develop two highly detailed 3D environments in Unreal Engine for the NCA Awards in Riyadh (UAE).
Designing and delivering high-resolution cinematic environments for a large-scale LED award show.
Building and deploying complex environments within a compressed production schedule.
Within a very tight timeframe, the environments needed to deliver scale, atmosphere, and motion, with dynamic lighting, day–night transitions, and wind-driven sand, all remaining visually consistent across minutes of content.
The project also required on-site adaptation in Riyadh, where the visuals had to perform reliably across a complex large-scale LED setup under live exhibition conditions.
Adopting Unreal Engine as the core environment tool to meet scale, speed, and quality demands.
To meet the project’s scale and delivery constraints, the production pipeline was restructured to support large environments and aggressive deadlines, enabling faster iteration without compromising visual stability.
By transitioning environment development and rendering to Unreal Engine, minutes of high-resolution content could be produced in a fraction of the usual time, while maintaining consistency across a large-scale LED setup.
